Can I use Bodega already?

How does it scan products?

With the phone camera or a USB barcode scanner that connects as a keyboard. No special hardware beyond that.
Can I sell by the case and by the unit?

Yes, with the same barcode and prices that already include VAT.
What if a customer leaves halfway through?

Their account is parked with what you already scanned, and you keep charging the next person. Up to three accounts can wait at once.
Does it work without internet?

You still sell: the sale closes offline and stays on the device. When the signal returns it syncs, and the receipt is issued to the SRI then — the receipt needs internet, the sale does not. The register shows the state of each one.
How does it handle returnable containers?

They are counted by hand when received and stay on the sale and in that store's container inventory. They are not yet deducted from what the customer pays; that comes next.
Can I charge with Deuna or another digital method?

Not yet. There is no payment integration inside the system today: the sale is recorded and invoiced, but the payment itself happens outside, with the method you already use in the store.
Does it issue an electronic invoice?

Can I have more than one store?

The Free plan includes 1 store and 1 cashier. Basic includes 2 stores and 4 cashiers. Pro sets no cap on stores or cashiers. Each store keeps its own stock and its own accounts on hold, all from the same account.
Does the price include VAT?

The price is in USD. Your bank adds VAT; with your accountant it can come back as a tax credit.

Hosted in Switzerland
ERP data is hosted in Switzerland, on Infomaniak, an independent Swiss provider.
Encrypted connections and credentials
Traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. The electronic signature (.p12) and sensitive credentials are stored encrypted with a dedicated key. Passwords are stored as hashes, never as plain text.
Daily backups
The database has daily backups, checked by checksum and copied to Infomaniak Swiss Backup. Remote copies are encrypted before they leave the server.
